Aquarian Star Magical Hexagram Brass pendant necklace

This sacred charm necklace is a handmade brass Six Point Aquarian Star pendant 3.5cm long on a black waxed cotton necklace with adjustable knots to lengthen as desired.

The shape of the Aquarian Star is known as the Unicursal Hexagram, so called because it can be drawn unicursally - that is in one continuous movement. This is important when forming figures in magical rituals. The Unicursal Hexagram is described as the magical Star of Solomon, as opposed to the Star of David. The tribe of Solomon or the Masons use a similar symbol represented by a Square and Compass.

The symbol was used by the magical society known as the Golden Dawn, and later adapted by Aleister Crowley and those following his philosophies known as Thelemites. Crowley’s adaptation of the unicursal hexagram has a five petaled rose, symbolizing a pentacle and the divine feminine in the center, the symbol as a whole making eleven (five petals of the rose plus six points of the hexagram), the number of divine union.
